"Ours
is a family-run firm with a simple goal: To determine exactly what our
customers want, and then work to meet or exceed their expectations. We are
large enough to handle the big orders, yet small enough to give personal service on a small order. We
want our clients to have Prosperity in their future.”

Louis Byron
Founder/ CEO
Were Lou Byron to be thrown into a dark pit with an angry
bear, no fur would fly. Within minutes, Lou would have the grouchy critter
sitting back, slapping his wooly knee and belly laughing. You see, Lou is a
master storyteller. “Well, I love to talk,” admits Lou, “but,
foremost, I am a listener. We learn by listening. That’s key in this
business. Once I hear people describe their situation, then I can help them
get the products they need. Everyone has a story to tell.”
It was in 1992 that Lou launched Prosperity Promotions. “But
I was in the industry well before that,” recalls Lou. “I got into this line
back when I was a student at the University of Louisville.” He has a
bachelor’s degree from U of L and was a three-year letterman in football.
“After college, I kept my hand in this field while teaching and coaching at
a local high school.”
Many Louisville folks know Lou Byron from his tenure as a
well-known local politico and campaign strategist. “I did leave the industry
in the early ’70s to pursue a career in local government, and when I retired
from public service, I opened my distributorship in a 600-sq.-ft. space in
Louisville’s Butchertown neighborhood.” Prosperity now has its offices,
showroom and warehouse in a business park in Middletown (eastern
Louisville).

Lou is active in various promotional products industry
groups. “Membership in trade organizations keeps us abreast of trends in
order that we can stay on the cutting edge. That’s important with some 4,000
suppliers and more than 700,000 products in this industry.”
Lou and his wife, Betty, have two grown children, John and
Kim. Their two grandchildren, Connor and Kelsey, love granddaddy’s stories,
and they think he is a bear.

those accounts that Louis Tarbis was servicing before he left for a career
in another industry.

promotional ideas or find a specific product to meet their needs.
"I’ve been in the promotional products and wearable business since 1997 and
